Inspiring future Goalkeepers

On 29 August 2025, 25 individuals gathered for the Impact Hub Cape Winelands first Masterclass: Re-imagining Social Innovation for Shared Power & Shared Value.

And what was the purpose of this half-day Masterclass? We hoped to help participants:

• Challenge conventional ideas of social innovation and value creation
• Grow an understanding of the importance of retaining economic value within underserved communities
• Assess and strengthen their initial business model ideas for both social and economic viability
• Build awareness of alternative innovation pathways that centre equity and ownership
• Share real-world learnings and best practices
• Connect to a new vision of balancing social & economic value creation.
  

We had the privilege of offering this Masterclass as part of the Bill Gates Foundation Goalkeepers Programme, together with Stellenbosch University’s SDG/2063 Impact Hub and Policy Innovation Lab.
